So basically, grow into an something more elaborate; in most cases, something better.
Well, that's exactly what Stardoll did.
To put it simply, Stardoll used to look like this:

And that's only during the time I've been on Stardoll, so this is how it changed within three years. This was in 2007:
See the difference? A LOT has changed on Stardoll, and I think it's for the better. The minimalistic design in present layout looks very stylish, while the 2007 layout looks messy and cluttered. Eventually Stardoll also changed the Starplaza, suite, and Stardesign studios to match the present design. I have to say, this new look is pretty awesome. But this isn't the only way that Stardoll has "evolved". A while back, we didn't have things like the Stardesign hair studio. There's also new(slightly anyways) Superstar face options, which also wasn't available before. But not only has the site changed, the members did too. With all these new features, there were more options for our dollies and much more possibility.
For example, here's my doll from 2013 and my doll now:
Through experience and the different features on Stardoll, you can see that my doll has changed a lot over the years. And after reading this post, you may be able to see that Stardoll has evolved for the better. You may also know a little bit more about Stardoll's history.
A new floor of Royalty has been released. It includes items ranging from 5-28 SD and 5-25 SD for royalty members. I'm not actually a big fan of many items in this collection, especially the wild print outfit. But some items like the High Waist Pants(16/14 SD) and the Velvet Blazer(17/15 SD) look pretty nice. What do you think about this collection?
Three new floors of TRANSFORM has been released and it's pretty awesome! The prices range from 10 to 24 SD. Instead of makeup, Stardoll has release items similar to Stardesign Hair "facemasks". The shading, coloring, and highlighting on these masks are perfect! I certainly suggest buying it.

Stardoll has recently released a new brand, Wild Candy Couture. This is great news for non-SS members, as they have some stunning dresses, that are priced from 200-900 | 180-810 SC. Instead of doing a review, I decided to post some outfits with pieces from this collection.
I wanted to post some makeup tips about shading and coloring. It shows where to put light and dark colors when making a natural look. This doesn't mean black and white makeup, but any kind of light and dark colors. This tutorial mainly focuses on blush(which is always hard to find the right colors for), eye shadow, and lipstick. It shows my doll with and without makeup. If you're going for a natural look like this, try not to wear to much dark makeup.
It may not be a perfect tutorial, but I hope this helps you guys with makeup. I'm also planning on making a YouTube video about Stardoll makeup soon, and I'll be sure to post it here when it's up.
A brand new Pêt à Porter collection is in stores! The items cost 9-55 SD. Some of it is already sold out, so if you're interested, you should by them soon. I normally wouldn't buy a pet, but these actually grow. They'll change from the original image in your suite. I just had to buy one!
